Butter comes out in just a few weeks and though I like a lot of what I’ve heard from Hudson Mo so far, I’m scared about this release. It’s his first real LP and a lot of people are going to be watching/listening. I only hope the best for him and anticipate the album’s release but yeah, I hope it doesn’t sound limited due to stress factors or a possible rushed release…

Really deep. I’m definitely going to have to rewatch it a couple of times to get it “all.”
That is to say, I liked it.
I went to see THE COLLECTOR today and I don’t know if it’s because I don’t watch movies often or because it was actually a decent flick but I enjoyed it. The main guy reminded me of a younger Sean Penn and I like Sean Penn so maybe that also factored into my “liking this movie.”
After I got back, I was still in a movie-watching mood so I saw OBSERVE AND REPORT and I LOVE YOU, MAN. The first was very dark, a comedy but still, very dark. And in retrospect, there’s nothing really excellent about the film except for maybe Seth Rogen’s acting. He manages to convincingly pull off the “bi-polar” persona and there’s just something I can’t shake off about the movie, it’s a little eerie.
I LOVE YOU, MAN had a bunch of my favorite actors all clumped together. Dude from SAVING SARAH MARSHALL, chick from THE OFFICE, dude from FORTY YEAR OLD VIRGIN, director of IRON MAN, chick from MY NAME IS EARL, and the original HULK. (I know most of their names but I also just like being vague like that sometimes, it’s fun.) Nothing really to say about the film. It’s worth watching, a good time and hilarious at points.
The Dead Texan is one of my favorite artists at the moment. I would describe it as immensely ambient music with a an ocean of emotion poured over each track. The thing is that it may not work for a lot of people because it is a bit slow but that’s the beauty of it; not all music is supposed to make you want to pour lava-sauce over your naked body whilst flinging yourself in random directions to the groove of a beat. Sometimes, you just need to relax and feel the music.
Also, if you like Sigur Ros, I’m sure you’ll enjoy this.
